From the court to the film circuit: 'Changing Courts' earns international film festival selections

A graphic image shows the title card for "Changing Courts" documentary next to an image of Jack Sock playing pickleball.

The transition of a documentary from a digital release to the prestigious screens of the film festival circuit is a significant milestone for any production.

Recently, the short documentary "Changing Courts: The Jack Sock Story" was named an official selection at several international festivals.

In the film industry, an official selection indicates that a project has passed a rigorous vetting process by a panel of experts. This designation confirms the film's technical execution and narrative relevance, placing it within a curated group of top-tier submissions eligible for category honors.

What is the 'Changing Courts' documentary?

Produced by Selkirk Studios, "Changing Courts: The Jack Sock Story" documents the transition of top-tier tennis professional Jack Sock as he enters the world of professional pickleball. The film examines the technical and mental hurdles involved in switching sports at a high level.

The documentary covers Sock’s Midwestern background and the public perception of his career shift. As part of a series by Selkirk Studios focusing on the growth of pickleball, the film provides a factual look at the adaptation required to compete in a new professional landscape.
