The LUXX Control Air quickly became a player favorite, utilizing the innovations of the LABS Project 003 to serve players looking for the ultimate control paddle. 

This paddle went against the grain in the pickleball industry, focusing on amplifying control and precision versus pure power. The reviews backed up our observation – the majority of players wanted help keeping the ball in bounds, placing it strategically to orchestrate wins instead of relying on brute force. The LUXX Control Air did exactly that.

At Selkirk, we’ve been ALL IN on pickleball for over a decade. That means we’re never complacent, so even though the LUXX Control Air is popular, we still wanted to find improvements.

One area of feedback from players about the previous version of the LUXX paddle was a desire for longer-lasting spin and a thought that “ultimate control” was at the expense of all power.

The LUXX Control Air with InfiniGrit® takes the popularity of the player-friendly LUXX Control Air, but enhances it with additional spin durability and slightly more power.

The two main upgrades from the previous LUXX Control Air:

1. 3x longer-lasting spin: The InfiniGrit® Surface has triple the durability of raw carbon paddles with enhanced spin potential, allowing players to achieve up to 2,000 RPMs for more precise shots. 
2. Ultimate control, but with more power: The 19mm X7 Thikset Honeycomb Core (1mm thinner than the prior version) and EVA foam in the throat and handle combine to produce additional power. Don’t worry, this additional power is not at the expense of any control.

Epic | Long Handle & Standard Paddle Shape: Pairing a traditional pickleball paddle shape with a large surface area and a long handle, the Epic delivers the perfect blend of power and control. Versatile and well-rounded, the Epic paddle shape is ideal for the beginner and the seasoned pro.

Invikta | Longer Handle & Longest Paddle Shape: Favored for its increased sweet spot size when compared to other elongated pickleball paddle shapes, the Invikta is popular with intermediate to pro players. With Invikta, you get the elongated shape, a large sweet spot, and an even longer handle that provides more power, more reach, and more spin.

InfiniGrit® Surface for 3x Spin Durability Over Raw Carbon Fiber

The InfiniGrit® Surface technology triples the durability of traditional embossed epoxy peel-ply texture raw carbon surfaces while significantly enhancing spin potential, allowing players to achieve up to 2,000 RPMs for more precise and controlled shots. EVA Foam Handle and Throat for Less Vibrations and More Flex

Updated from the previous LUXX Control Air (which had a hollow handle), the injected EVA foam in the throat and handle dampen vibrations from impact, while providing more flexibility for increased power.

Cleaning Your Paddle Surface: In order to prolong the performance of your InfiniGrit® Surface, it’s important to clean your paddle. When the ball strikes the paddle, it can leave behind residue — either from the ball itself or debris picked up from the court. The debris fills in the texture of the paddle surface, making it feel smoother over time. To fix this, simply use a microfiber towel, soap, and water for a quick cleaning. This will restore your InfiniGrit® Surface, which lasts 3x longer than raw carbon.

Limited Lifetime Warranty

Selkirk Sport pickleball paddles are guaranteed against workmanship and manufacturer defects for the lifetime of the paddle with activation of warranty through the registering of the paddle with Selkirk Sport. The warranty is not transferable after registration and only applies to the original owner.

What's Covered and What's Not

Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship are covered for the lifetime of the product. Normal wear and tear, damage caused by abuse, negligence/user modification, chips to the top or sides of edgeless paddles, and the natural breakdown or fading of graphics or textures over extended use are not covered.

Miscellaneous

This warranty is available for Selkirk Sport pickleball paddles in the United States. Selkirk Sport holds the sole discretion to determine whether a damaged paddle is covered under our lifetime warranty. Selkirk Sport has the sole discretion to determine whether to replace or repair a paddle covered under our limited lifetime warranty. Replacement paddles are not covered under our limited lifetime warranty.
